HTC to Be the First to Launch EXODUS 1s Blockchain Phone
HTC has just revealed Exodus 1s smartphone following its plan to launch crypto-phones. Till now, we knew the systems powered by blockchain and cryptocurrencies are often combined with the software it runs on. Now HTC has shared the technical specifications of the new Exodus 1s smartphone that is equipped with the latest blockchain capabilities and carries a built-in key storage and wallets. In addition to that, Exodus 1s is said to build on a full Bitcoin node that will enable users to directly connect the big blockchain network from their phones.
At this, it has been speculated that being a part of bitcoin network may become as easy as turning on a mobile device. Furthermore, HTC has explained how the new phone packed with full-node capabilities would be able to allow users interact with Bitcoin network without losing their privacy to external users.
Will Blockchain Phones Provide Safe Transactions?
Here it is noteworthy that the full nodes are specifically used to verify and broadcast transactions, this way it prevents usage of one coin twice as well as allows every user to smoothly make a transaction.
The Decentralized Chief Officer of HTC expressed his views,
“We are democratizing access to the technology for a free world,” Chen said. “Full nodes are the most important ingredient in the resilience of the Bitcoin network and we have lowered the barrier to entry for any person to run a node.”
Besides that, the EXODUS 1S phone gets a built-in hardware wallet (Zion Vault) that stores cryptocurrency keys in a trusted execution environment that keeps blockchain secure and accessible to everyone.
Round Up
To conclude, HTC is going to be the world's first blockchain-powered phones provider. However, how much HTC's integration of mobile technology with blockchains is feasible not known yet but it's definitely a big news for fans of cryptocurrencies.
